Home Circuit Breaker Failure Caused Unraid Failure
My Unraid server died 12/23/2024. The power went out twice. Bad shutdowns. UPS did not last. Power stayed off until circuit breaker replaced in house.
12/24/2025 Attempted boot. Kernel Panic Error.
Rebooted. bzimage checksum error.
Rebooted. Entered BIOS. Corrected the boot order to USB drive first.
Rebooted. Reached Unraid Boot Menu. Started MEMTEST86+ at Unraid boot menu.
Failed MEMTEST86+. To do.
- Created new bootable USB from Windows with newest free version of MEMTEST86. I ended up using Rufus to create the bootable usb and files from the MEMTEST86 iso.
Turn off overclocking and XMP. How?- Ran test with both installed modules--failed.
- Removed both modules. air sprayed modules and slots. reinsterted both modules. Failed.
- Ran test with one module, i.e., "first module". passed.
- Ran test with only one, second module. failed.
- Ran first module in second slot. passed.
- Ran second module in first slot -- passed. Very confusing result.
- Ran test with both installed. Passed.
- Rebooted with Unraid USB. Booted.
